NGCOA Announces Support of National Women's Golf Alliance™
Women friendly practices at golf facilities is critically important for attracting and keeping women engaged in the game of golf. The NGCOA is pleased to announce our support of the National Women's Golf Alliance™ (NWGA) and we encourage you to utilize NWGA services to help you increase women golfers and revenue at your facility.
The NWGA was founded and is managed by three of the industry’s most respected golf organizations: The EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association), Golf for Cause and Jan Bel Jan Golf Course Design. As a team, NWGA works with golf facilities to offer consulting, staff training, course design and other services to assist facilities in increasing their engagement of women golfers. Participating facilities that meet certain standards receive a "Rolling out the Green Carpet™" designation and are promoted by NWGA as women-friendly, NWGA-certified golf facilities.
How does a facility become certified?
The NWGA conducts thorough facility evaluations and generates extensive reports to help enhance the property's ability to sufficiently accommodate, attract and retain their female clientele. These appraisals differ from a traditional course rating as the evaluations are much more than simply reviewing golf course playability. The evaluation begins prior to making a tee time – incorporating the on-line experience – all staff interactions, course conditions, Golf Shop merchandise, food choices and other important areas.
