NGCOA Welcomes New Associate Director of Marketing Communications
The NGCOA announces the addition of Ingrid Thorson as the organization’s new Associate Director of Marketing Communications. Thorson will be responsible for creating and implementing a multi-faceted communications program using traditional and new media while strengthening the organization’s role and reputation as the leader and voice of the industry.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the NGCOA. I’ve spent my entire career in the trade association world, and I look forward to continuing that path in the golf industry,” said Thorson.
Thorson comes to the NGCOA from the Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII), the trade association for owners of inns and bed and breakfast businesses. While at PAII, Thorson provided marketing and communications support to all of PAII’s education, advocacy and marketing efforts. As Director of Marketing and Communications, she had an instrumental role in reforming the association’s communications.
“We are very pleased to have Ingrid come on board with the NGCOA," said CEO Mike Hughes. "She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the association. She has a proven track record of increasing member participation and satisfaction and we are all looking forward to having her on our team.”
Thorson brings 14 years of marketing, communications and association strategy and management background to the NGCOA. To reach her, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
