Update on GolfNow Petition on Change.org
By now, most members are likely aware of the NGCOA-led effort to make our members’ voices heard related to the Golf Channel/GolfNow television advertisement that refers to pricing by golf course owners as “preposterous” in order to promote the discounted, reselling of tee times with their product.
Many of our members took exception to this negative depiction; so in support of our members and on their behalf, we developed a means for their voices to be heard on this issue. Through change.org, we posted a statement about these concerns and petitioned GolfNow’s Senior Vice President of New Media, Jeff Foster, that members electronically signed, added their own comments to, and emailed.

We have made our impact and have winded down this effort:
- Almost 600 golf course owners/operators from across North America have participated
- The television commercial in question has been taken off of YouTube
- It is our understanding that the ad was already not scheduled to run in the future
To those of you who participated in this effort - we’re glad that the NGCOA could provide a means for your voice to be heard.
Thanks to each of you for your membership and your ongoing support of the golf industry.
