Golf course owners and operators asked to join effort
WASHINGTON (January 9, 2011) - Representatives from the WE ARE GOLF coalition, including NGCOA CEO Mike Hughes, traveled to the White House for the announcement of Summer Jobs+ - an initiative to help create summer employment opportunities for youth in 2012.
Joined by the President, the Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis and other senior Administration officials, WE ARE GOLF renewed its commitment to help create pathways for America’s young people to get the work experience they need.
"As business leaders, it is our responsibility to assist in the development of our youth as they will one day be in a position to make a difference in our businesses, our industry and our communities," says Hughes.
